Hi, I'm Becca Serenity

Specifically, I can help you finally lose the extra weight, manage your cravings, stop overeating, and eliminate the confusion around what and when to eat. With this, you’ll be able to have more self-control, life fulfillment, and feel good in your body.

But here’s the thing:

I do it differently than most. My approach is all about mindfulness, allowing you to make lasting holistic life changes! I tap into your emotions and mentality to understand what is preventing you from being where you want to be physically, and I address the root causes of your challenges. This program goes beyond superficial remedies. If you’re tired of temporary fixes, fads, and empty promises and you feel ready for real results, my approach is perfect for you.

My Story…

Growing up as an adolescent, I had zero awareness of what health really looked like. Instead, I literally thought that fruit snacks from Costco were a solid choice because they were made of fruit! (Seriously.)
Like most of us, I wasn’t taught about nutrition and mental wellness at home or in school. And ultimately, the fast-food chains that surrounded me, in my mind, were my best options.

I wanted to learn more about what to eat, but had no idea where to start.

Fast forward to the age of 18 and I was smack dab in the middle of a small town in Nebraska for college. My priority there was to be the best student-athlete I could be and get a solid education.
But that took its toll…
Instead of enjoying nights out with friends and partying, I was cooped up inside struggling with severe depression, crippling anxiety, and a binge-eating disorder that lasted five years. This all led to a vicious cycle of yo-yo dieting, where I gained and lost over 200 pounds.
They say insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results, and that was for sure my reality.

There were several moments where I didn’t even want to live… Nor did I feel worthy or deserving of love. As you can imagine, the cycle was exhausting for my mind and body, but luckily, I believed in myself enough to keep trying…

How I naturally lost over 70 pounds…and kept it off

After seeking help from various health practitioners without much success, I took control of my own healing journey. I was determined to learn how to make healthy food that not only tastes good but also provides my body with the necessary fuel for any activity.
That’s how, through years of self-study and self-reflection, I developed a proven process that finally worked! By improving my self-awareness, discovering my life’s purpose, and honing my culinary skills, I was able to make huge strides in my physical, emotional, and mental health.
My success in creating a program that works for both myself and others was greatly influenced by educating myself through books, certifications, documentaries, and higher-ed programs.

As a result, I was able to sustainably lose 70 pounds, going from 210 to 140 pounds.

Plus, I drastically improved my mindset as well:

I transformed from someone who constantly doubted themselves to someone who loves and prioritizes self-care wholeheartedly.

At one point, I never thought any of this would be possible for me.
Now, I have a positive relationship with food, my body, and my mind. I have witnessed my evolution from feelings of shame, guilt, and co-dependence into a proud, confident, and independent woman.

I can relate…

I’ve been right where you are at in your journey before and that’s why I am confident in my ability to help you! Yes, I may have credentials and a cool success story but ultimately, I’m human, just like everyone else. I’m a firm believer in walking the talk!

What do I love?

Besides my husband, I love to eat really good food, so much so, I decided to become a chef so that I had more confidence to create delicious dishes in the comfort of my home. But, let’s face it, I’m not always in the mood to cook and I have a few go-to restaurants as well. I love being outdoors, hiking, being by water (not in it necessarily), and comedy stand-ups. I love a good laugh and I have a light-hearted approach to life in general! 

What am I proud of?

I am a proud fur-mama to two incredibly loving dalmatians, their names are Tokyo & Phoenix. I never thought I would make an instagram for them, but it exists @TokyoLovesPhoenix 

Fun facts!

I’m not just a health coach, I’m a former college basketball coach as well. One of my favorite things about coaching student-athletes – besides being in athleisure all day – is giving them the tools I wish I had at their age regarding general nutrition and mental health tips so that they can feel the best and fuel their bodies appropriately. Outside of coaching, I also do spoken word, teach yoga as adjunct faculty, and have a bit of an obsession with Hello Kitty!

I believe…

I believe that we are all powerful beyond measure! I also believe a big key to true happiness is living in your truth and not taking things personally. Life’s way easier that way!
